Privacy

Information used by the service

We use your sign-in provider’s stable account identifier and, when supplied, your email address (including Apple private relay addresses). We support Apple sign-in for iOS and Google sign-in for Android to identify your monitoring account. Your organization or administrator may supply a profile name, contact details and property permissions. Dedicated review accounts use separate username/password credentials and synthetic data.

The app sends a generated installation identifier and device name to manage sessions across devices. If you allow notifications, we store the platform's push registration token (Apple APNs on iOS or Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android), your permission status and notification preferences. We record security and account-operation events, such as sign-in, session renewal and preference changes, to operate and protect the service. Normal web requests also include network information needed to deliver the service.

The monitoring platform stores sensor readings, reporting times and configured properties/devices. You see only data your administrator has authorized. Sensor history retention is configured per measurement. Shared sensor data is separate from your personal access account.

Purpose and sharing

We use this information to authenticate you, enforce property access, display monitoring information, deliver requested alerts and secure the service. We do not sell personal information, use advertising SDKs or track you across other companies' apps or websites. Apple processes Sign in with Apple and iOS push notifications; Google processes Sign in with Google and Android push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging. The Android messaging SDK also uses a Firebase installation identifier to deliver notifications; we do not enable Firebase Analytics. Push content may include the property/sensor name and reading and may appear on your lock screen; notification permission is optional and you can disable it in your device notification settings or the app.

Your organization's administrators manage account approval and property access. Service infrastructure providers process information as needed to host and secure the platform. Information may also be disclosed when legally required.

Storage and retention

Credentials are protected using platform-protected storage on the device and hashed session/password credentials on the backend. Access is controlled per property and measurement. We keep account data while the account is active, and operational records as needed for service security and support. Backups may retain earlier records until those backups are replaced or expire. Sensor history follows the configured monitoring retention policies.

Your choices and account deletion

You can change notification preferences in Settings > Notifications and revoke notification permission in your device settings. Contact us or your administrator to correct account details or request access changes. To delete your account, open Settings > Account > Delete account in the app, confirm and authenticate again. This removes your account profile, identity link, permissions, app sessions and push registrations. Operational audit records are anonymized. Shared physical sensors, property records and their telemetry remain with the monitoring platform rather than being deleted with your access account.

If you cannot access the app, contact chris@1c.co.nz to request account deletion or help. We may need to verify that you control the account. A new Apple or Google sign-in after deletion creates a new pending account and does not restore previous property access.
